Holiday Cabins

Comfortable fully self-contained air-conditioned holiday cabins only 800meters from the beach. The cabins are an open-plan design with a private bathroom and sleep up to 4 persons in a double-bed and two single bunks.

Daytime stopovers for Horse & Rider

Bring your own horse out to Tassiriki Ranch for the day, park your horse float in our off-street parking area and go for a ride. Afterwards enjoy the use of our wash-bay, shower & toilet, and BBQ facilities. (Bookings essential).

Escorted Beach Trail Rides

Relax and enjoy the pristine natural beauty of South Ballina Beach on an escorted beach trail ride. Experience an adventure on horseback with the opportunity to see dolphins playing and sometimes whales migrating just off the beach. After your ride you are invited to stay for a chat and enjoy a complimentary liquid refreshment and nibbles. Couples may choose to ride as part of a group ( up to 6 riders) or on their own in the case of a private ride.

BEACH TRAIL RIDING TERMS & CONDITIONS

• Minimum age for beach rides is 7 years. Children under 16 years must be accompanied on the ride by a parent or guardian .
• For safety reasons the maximum weight for riders is 100kg. Riders over 90 kgs must be of intermediate riding ability (i.e. ridden over 100 times).
• All riders are asked to sign a liability waiver.
• All riders are required to wear a helmet, suitable long pants, and enclosed shoes (smooth-soled shoes are the safest)
• Groups are restricted to a maximum of 6 riders.
• Rides are conducted at the discretion of the Trail Guide according to the ability of the group.
• Beach trail rides are available 7 days a week but are subject to beach conditions and the weather.
• Please leave mobile phones in the car as they may frighten the horses .
• Bookings are essential, we require a 50% deposit to confirm all horse riding bookings.

Horse Awareness & Riding Lessons for Beginners - (Reserved for guests staying at Tassiriki Ranch)

These lessons are a great introduction to horse riding while enjoying a rural holiday near the beach.

Pony Rides - (Reserved for guests staying at Tassiriki Ranch)

Pony rides are a real thrill for young kids who have never seen horses before and offer a great photo opportunity for parents.

TERMS & CONDITIONS

Standard Conditions

• Peak Season accommodation rates apply during NSW & QLD school holidays and public holiday long-weekends,
  Off-Peak Season accommodation rates apply at all other times. Click here to check dates of school & public holidays.
• A two night minimum stay applies if no beach rides are purchased.
• Our regular nightly cabin rates are based on the number of persons occupying the cabin. Increasing the number of persons staying in the cabin may incur an additional charge.
• Prices are accurate as of 1/1/2007 but are subject to change.
• GST is included in all our advertised rates.
• No dogs or stallions allowed.

Check-in & Check-out

• Check-in after 2PM, check-out before 10AM. Late departures may be possible, please ask the day before you are due to depart. 

Payments

• A deposit of 50% is required to confirm all horse riding and accommodation bookings. Payment methods for deposits include Direct Transfer into our bank account, Credit Card, Postal Orders, Bank Cheques, and Personal Cheques made out to "Tassiriki Ranch Pty Ltd". NOTE: Bookings made using personal cheques are not confirmed until the cheque has cleared.  

• The balance is payable on arrival. We have EFTPOS facilities and can process debit cards and most credit cards (Master Card and Visa).

Cancellation Policy

• ACCOMMODATION and STAY & RIDE packages - If you cancel your booking more than 30 days prior to your planned arrival, your deposit less a $25 administration fee will be refunded. If you cancel less than 30 days prior to your planned arrival, your entire deposit is forfeited. 
• BEACH RIDING - Should YOU need to postpone or cancel your ride, we require no less than 48 hours notice otherwise your deposit is forfeited. We reserve the right to postpone a horse ride if the weather or beach conditions are unsuitable. Your ride will be rescheduled to the next available day, or if you are unable to reschedule we will refund your deposit in full.
